Role overview
Our client is a leading UAE bank with a strong presence in the region and an expanding digital offering. They are seeking a Compliance Lawyer to support regulatory risk management across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on UAE Central Bank regulations and banking sector compliance requirements
- Support AML, sanctions and financial crime compliance initiatives
- Draft and maintain compliance policies and internal governance frameworks
- Assist with regulatory reporting and liaise with supervisory authorities
- Provide legal support on risk mitigation across retail, corporate and digital banking
Candidate profile
- Common law qualified with 4 to 8 years' PQE
- Experienced in banking compliance and regulatory advisory
- Technically strong with strong understanding of UAE financial regulations
- Experienced at a recognised firm or financial institution
- Confident engaging with senior leaders and regulators
