About Meyssa Legal

Meyssa Legal was founded to offer a considered approach to mid to senior-level legal recruitment across the Middle East, supporting law firms and in-house legal teams where judgement and context matter.

The name Meyssa

The name Meyssa was inspired by the Arabic name ميسّة (Mayssa), meaning to move with confidence, elegance and grace, and the star ميساء (Meissa) which derives from the Arabic word الميسان (Al-Maisan), meaning the shining one.

Together, they reflect how we believe legal recruitment should feel: assured, measured and guided by clarity.

Founded by Azara Digan

Meyssa Legal was founded by Azara Digan, who brings nearly 20 years' experience in legal recruitment and search across the Middle East, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Before founding Meyssa Legal, Azara led the legal talent business for the Middle East at a top-tier international law firm. Her experience working within private practice and supporting in-house legal teams gives her a first-hand understanding of how legal teams function, what matters, and why the right hire makes all the difference.

That understanding shapes how Meyssa Legal works. Recruitment is guided by judgement rather than targets, and by understanding rather than sales. Every engagement is handled with discretion and intent, supporting long-term success for both clients and candidates.
