Role overview
Our client is a well-regarded international law firm with a market-leading disputes practice across the Middle East. With a growing caseload driven by energy pricing disputes, delayed infrastructure projects and cross-border commercial conflicts, they are seeking a Disputes and International Arbitration Lawyer to join their Dubai office.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and run DIAC, ICC and DIFC-LCIA arbitration proceedings across a range of sectors including construction, energy and joint ventures
- Advise on force majeure and hardship claims arising from regional geopolitical disruption and supply chain instability
- Draft submissions, witness statements and expert instructions
- Support pre-arbitration dispute avoidance strategies and settlement negotiations
- Work closely with partners and clients across the GCC on high-value, multi-jurisdictional matters
Candidate profile
- Common law qualified with 4 to 7 years' PQE
- Experienced in international arbitration, with exposure to institutional rules (ICC, DIAC, LCIA or equivalent)
- Technically strong with an ability to manage complex, document-heavy disputes
- Experienced at a recognised international firm, ideally with Middle East or emerging markets exposure
- Commercially aware with the confidence to manage client relationships directly
