Role overview
Our client is a major Saudi-based developer delivering one of the Kingdom's flagship mixed-use destinations. With a long-term masterplan encompassing residential, commercial, leisure and hospitality assets across multiple districts, and a pipeline spanning tens of thousands of units, they are seeking a Real Estate Lawyer to join their in-house legal team in Riyadh. This role is open exclusively to Saudi Nationals.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on the full range of real estate transactions across the development, including sales, acquisitions, leases and land arrangements
- Draft, review and negotiate development agreements, sale and purchase agreements, lease documentation and related commercial contracts
- Support joint venture structures and advise on risk allocation across multi-party development arrangements
- Conduct due diligence on land assets, title and zoning matters in connection with new development phases
- Advise on Saudi real estate regulations, registration requirements and dealings with government authorities and land departments
- Work closely with the Construction, Hospitality and Commercial legal teams to provide coordinated legal support across the project lifecycle
- Liaise with and manage external counsel on specialist matters as required
Candidate profile
- A Saudi National with a law degree from a recognised institution
- Qualified with 5 or more years' post-qualification experience, with demonstrable real estate transactional work
- Experienced in drafting and negotiating development agreements, sale and purchase documentation and lease arrangements
- Familiar with Saudi real estate law, land registration processes and the regulatory environment
- Commercially minded with the ability to work at pace across multiple workstreams in a large-scale development environment
- A strong communicator, comfortable engaging with senior internal stakeholders and external counterparties
- Fluent in Arabic and English
