Role overview
Our client is a leading international law firm with a prominent capital markets practice in Saudi Arabia. With a strong pipeline of IPOs, equity offerings and public market transactions on Tadawul, the firm is looking to hire a mid-level ECM lawyer to join its Riyadh office. The successful candidate will bring hands-on Saudi ECM experience and work directly with the CMA on live deals. This is a strong opportunity to build deal execution experience in one of the region's busiest capital markets.
Key responsibilities
- Work on IPOs, rights issues, secondary offerings and public M&A with an equity component
- Deal directly with the Capital Market Authority (CMA) on prospectus reviews, listing applications and approvals
- Draft and negotiate offering documents, underwriting agreements and ancillary documents
- Advise issuers and banks on Saudi securities law, CMA regulations and Tadawul listing rules
- Manage deal execution across workstreams, coordinating with local and international counsel
- Support junior lawyers and the growth of the practice in the Kingdom
Candidate profile
- Common law qualified with 5 to 8 years' PQE in equity capital markets
- Strong ECM deal experience, ideally including Saudi IPOs or public offerings
- Experience of working with the CMA and the Saudi approval process
- Trained at a top-tier international law firm with a recognised capital markets practice
- Strong drafting, and able to manage complex transactions with growing autonomy
- Based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh
