Role overview
A leading international law firm with a well-established Abu Dhabi office is seeking an Arabic-speaking Corporate Lawyer at Associate or Senior Associate level. The firm handles a broad range of corporate and commercial work across the UAE and wider GCC, and needs a lawyer who can draft, negotiate and advise in both Arabic and English to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on corporate and commercial transactions including M&A, joint ventures, restructurings and general corporate advisory across the UAE and wider region
- Draft, review and negotiate legal documentation in both Arabic and English, including agreements governed by UAE onshore law
- Advise on UAE corporate law, commercial companies law and regulatory frameworks across both onshore and free zone jurisdictions
- Support government and sovereign-backed clients on strategic transactions and advisory matters
- Liaise with local courts, notaries, government departments and regulatory authorities in Arabic where required
- Work closely with partners and senior colleagues across the firm's regional corporate practice
Candidate profile
- Common law or civil law qualified at Associate or Senior Associate level
- Fluent in Arabic (written, spoken and legal drafting) and English to a professional standard
- From a top-tier international law firm, whether in the GCC, London or another major market
- Experienced in corporate and commercial transactions with exposure to UAE or GCC legal frameworks
- Technically strong with the ability to work across both Arabic and English language documentation
- A confident communicator, comfortable engaging with Arabic-speaking clients, counterparties and government entities
