Role overview
Our client is a top-tier international law firm with a long-standing projects and energy practice in the Gulf. Following a run of new lender and sponsor instructions on Saudi and UAE renewables, water and digital infrastructure, this firm is looking to hire a Senior Associate to support its energy and infrastructure finance team in Dubai. The successful candidate will take the lead on documentation and closings, often working directly with the client on day-to-day deal points. This is a great opportunity to step up on landmark energy transition deals while the regional pipeline is at its busiest.
Key responsibilities
- Lead finance documents on solar, wind, battery storage and IWP projects
- Act for commercial banks, ECAs and DFIs as well as sponsors
- Islamic and conventional tranches on multi-sourced financings
- Review offtake, EPC and concession agreements for lenders
- Data centre and digital infrastructure financings
- Run closings and guide junior associates through them
Candidate profile
- 4 to 8 years' PQE
- Project finance from an international firm, lender or sponsor side
- Renewables or water sector deals preferred
- Islamic finance exposure a plus
- UAE-based, or open to relocating from London or Singapore
